Experiencing technical difficulties:)

Hello friends,

We are safe and sound, and having a blast.  So mom and I have been creating this awesome blog on my I pad while we are flying or on the train via my trusty little ipad.  Only to find that the ipad does not support google blog yet.  Awesome.  We were thinking we would just create in ipages, then copy and paste into the blog....not so much.  So I do believe we have finally figured out how to load the document onto iworks then from the hotel PC cut and paste it into here.  But of course our documents are so large cause we added pictures etc.... that it is taking forever for me to load onto iworks.

We are taking a train from Berlin to Munich tonight so I will play on the ipad and see if I can load it to the blog.

So far we have pedal our butts all through Amsterdam....the only way to experience Amsterdam in my book.  You will see once I can load the pics.  What an interestingly awesome place!  We had a fairly depressing, although thoroughly educational day on a tour of Berlin today.  Our Scottish tour guide has been in Berlin writing a novel for the last 7 years re: Nazi Germany and the holocaust.  He was a walking encyclopedia and worth every penny of the 12€.  Learned more than any book or history lesson, incredibly humbling experience today.
Geez I hope we can figure this blog thing out!  More to come!

Blogtastic!

I just returned from a lovely happy hour with Shelly!  We caught up on gossip and talked about my upcoming Europe trip.  Since Shelly and I are both off in PA school now, we very rarely get an opportunity to catch up.  Prior to PA school we worked together, ran together, planned each other weddings, and not to mention our husbands work together.  As I left Katie Downs, I pulled out and I thought of at least three things I forgot to tell her, or ask her about.

Conclusion #1 of the day:  we think our crude sense of humor (i.e. quote from shelly:  "eat that, and you won't sh!t right for a week!") is way funnier than other people think it is?  I don't get it?

During our happy hour I promised Shelly I would take a lot of pic's in Europe and be sure to tell her everything when I get home.  I thought about blogging it all and sending friends and family the link, but lets be real, I don't even have time in my day right now to upload photos, let alone blog about them?  When I pulled away and realized I still had so much to say and talk about, I decided I will make time for a blog while I am in Europe.  Plus it gives me a really great reason to justify buying that I-pad I have been wanting since I started PA school:)  Hehe!  So while Jeff is away at "man trip" this weekend/week I shall head to the apple store and purchase the new I-pad.  It now became a need vs. a want right?

Jeff gets upset with me when I post that we are going out of town on my Facebook. But I just can't help it!  I love facebook?  I feel so connected with it:)  A couple years ago our neighbors got robbed while on vacation....shady story if you ask me?....seriously there are 3 (yes, three) houses per year that get broken into in the harbor?  Why would a robber pick our little neighborhood?  We are not rich, only a few nice cars on the street, I mean come on....can you say insurance fraud?  Anyways, I have to figure out how to make this blog invite only....there must be a way?  Well, we have a house sitter, dog sitter, and neighbors alerted we will be out of town for 4 weeks , so I think our house will be safe.

Who knows?  Maybe I will like this blogging thing?

T- 10 days until Jeff, myself, and my mom are in Europe! I hope you all enjoy our Europe blog, and I just pray we don't get robbed:)

Have a great evening everyone,

Katrina
